Libros International author Horace 'Jim' Greasley narrowly missed out on the shortlist for the Costabook Awards (formerly The Whitbread) announced in London on Wednesday 25th November. His book 'DO THE BIRDS STILL SING IN HELL was nominated in July of 2009 and was apparently very well received by the judges but did not make the shortlist of four in the autobiography section.
Interviewed earlier this week Horace expressed a little disappointment but is looking forward to yet another bookstore signing in December and the year 2010 which promises to be just as exciting as 2009. All we can say to Horace, is chin up, its their loss.
