Carol's Advice:
People sometimes think that editing a manuscript is the same as proofreading it. However, it's more than spotting the spelling, punctuation and grammatical mistakes and typos. It's also about suggesting improvements for the author to make, identifying inconsistencies and repetition, advising on legal issues such as copyright permissions, and formatting the document. By its very nature, this is detailed and time-consuming work and means going through the manuscript word by word. Thoroughness is the name of the game in editing!
Carol Cole - Head of Editing

Carol heads up the editorial team at
Libros International. "It is a joy to work with such a great bunch of people.
We pride ourselves on the excellent working relationship we build with our authors.
It is extremely rewarding to take a 'raw' manuscript and, through the editorial
process, turn it into a book which can then go in to the marketplace for everyone
to buy and enjoy."

But the process can be a great deal faster and the book can be published much earlier if only light editing is required. Read the full article here >>>
