Libros International together with Bookworld España hosted the first Costa Blanca Authors’ Showcase Event at the Ondara shopping centre on Saturday 20th September.
Fifteen talented local writers were available for book signings in and outside the Bookworld España store from 11.00 until 19.00. Hundreds of shoppers were able to talk with local authors and purchase books whilst enjoying a glass of cava.
The event was a resounding success, with a record number of books sold.
Libros International Director of Operations Ken Douglas, seen here with co-founder Trevor Dalton, said “We are delighted with this event, which marks the beginning of our cooperation with the Costa Blanca’s largest bookseller. Our titles will now be available from Bookworld España stores along the Costa Blanca and we already have plans for further events such as this one, coming to your area soon.”
Bookworld España store manager Jane Kerr was also excited about the day’s sales, claiming that the store had benefited from the increased number of shoppers.
